预定2010年1月开播的TV动画「笨蛋，测验，召唤兽」，改编自Fami通文库发行的人气轻小说，原作是由井上坚二创作、叶贺唯插画，系列总销量至今已经突破100万部，并曾获得第8回entame大奖编辑部特别奖。作品以文月学园为舞台，由个性各异的角色和可爱的召唤兽们上演的一部欢闹学园剧。在「ef - a tale of melodies.」中有过良好合作关系的大沼心（监督）和高山カツヒコ（系列构成）将再度在本作中联手。与曾推出过的Drama相比，动画版的参演声优则进行了大换血，除了主角吉井明久会继续由下野紘演绎外，其余角色均不是Drama版的声优，这对于喜爱Drama版的FANS而言实属一大遗憾。
【剧情简介】
“全员拿起笔来！”──笨蛋与美少女们的测验与召唤战争！
文月学园是按照升学考试的成绩严格分班。集中优等生的A班有着可调节后倾角度的斜靠椅和空调设备，成绩最差的F班只有破烂的矮饭桌和腐烂的榻榻米。F班学生吉井明久为了暗自憧憬的活力少女姫路瑞希，以F班的代表坂本雄二为契机开始挑起战争。那便是使用学园以科学和超自然能力为基础开发的“试验召唤系统”。为赢得先进教室的使用权这一危险的赌注，只能在拥有符合试验强度的“召唤兽”战争・“试召战争”中获胜！
